Muscles Marinara Meatballs

meatballs

(I serve these as sandwiches on hot dog buns or hamburger rolls. You could serve them with pasta instead, of course. Whatever you prefer. Really quick and easy recipe. Makes about 15 ping-pong sized meatballs.)

  1. Put the ground beef into a bowl.
  2. Add the egg and the ketchup.
  3. Add the breadcrumbs.
  4. Add all the spices.
  5. Mix together with hands or a spoon until blended.
  6. Form the mixture into balls the size of a ping-pong ball (approx. 1 1/2 inch).
  7. In a skillet, add the olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan over medium heat.
  8. Drop all  the meatballs into the pan. Brown on both sides.
  9. When browned,  add 3/4  of a jar of your favorite marinara sauce. Cover pot with lid. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes. Sauce should be bubbling.
